Bridge on the River Kwai items.

These items have been recovered from the so-called 'Death Railway', built by the Japanese Imperial Army, under the supervision of Major General Shimoda, running from Burma to Thailand in Kanchanaburi Province. More than 60,000 British, Dutch, Australian and U.S. allied prisoners of war , together with Thai civilians, were forced to labour on the railway. Thirty thousand died building it. These relics are from the collection of Mr Chansiri, of Kanchanaburi Province. He was aged 11 at the time of the building of the railway and was forced to bring food to the Japanese guards. His own father died on the railway. This is your chance to own a genuine piece of history, from one of the most famous sites of WW2 - The Bridge On The River Kwai.
